Savings

It's a good idea to save at your credit union!

TFFFCU Savings Accounts

Funds you deposit at your credit union earn the maximum rate we can allow with minimal restrictions. Your funds are also used to make loans to your fellow members. You, in turn, can rely on their savings when you need to borrow.

Savings Options

Regular Savings Accounts

This account, the basic account you open when you join, offers you a very competitive rate.

Money Manager Accounts

The money manager account is an attractive alternative to members who maintain higher balances.

Savings Certificate Accounts

Competitive rates for longer-term savings. Check out our rates, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Individual Retirement Accounts

Regular IRA or Roth IRA, two of the best ways to build a retirement nest egg for many members, one of whom may be you.

NCUA Deposit Insurance

Your savings federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. In other words, your savings are very safe with us!

Youth Club Accounts

Toledo Fire Fighters FCU has great youth club accounts for those who are 8–15 years of age. When a youngster opens an account, we will deposit $5 into the account.

Call or stop by the credit union office for details. We believe it’s never too early to start saving for the future.

Direct Deposit and Payroll Deduction

These two services will eliminate the trips you make to the credit union to deposit checks you regularly receive.

How to Sign Up

For members on any type of Fire payroll, contact your Payroll Department or visit the credit union to sign up for direct deposit or payroll deduction. Members not on Fire payroll can set up these services through their Payroll Departments.

What is Direct Deposit?

Direct Deposit enables you to have your entire payroll, pension, Social Security or other retirement checks deposited into the accounts you have designated. Please be sure that you verify your account information with the Credit Union before signing up for these services.

What is Payroll Deduction?

Payroll Deduction allows you to deposit a portion of your City pay into the credit union account of your choice.
